If you’ve never participated in online therapy, you may have some questions about how it works.

Yes, More than 30 years of research shows that online therapy is as effective as face to face therapy. Many of my clients prefer online therapy as it is convenient to them doing a therapy session from any location and still get the benefits of a regular in-person therapy session.
Does online counselling / online therapy really work? -->
No. Technology and video conferencing are so developed now that it feels like sitting in the room with your therapist. The streaming of video and sound are normally so good, that there is no lag in the interaction with your therapist.
Isn't face-to-face interaction lost in online therapy? -->
Yes, the platforms we use are safe and secure. Communication is 100% encrypted between the users so your counselling session remains confidential and cannot be accessed by anyone other than therapist and client.
Is it online counselling safe and secure? -->
To join online therapy, you need a laptop, tablet, smartphone or computer with a good internet/wifi connection. If you can stream online video like netflix or youtube, then you will have no problem engaging in online therapy.
What are the minimun technology requirements I need for online therapy -->

A booking confirmation will be send to you.

In the same email further information about therapy will be sent to you. This needs to be signed by you and sent back prior the first session (a photo with signature sent back will suffice)

You click the meeting link that Ana Vidal Counselling will send you or wait for her video call at the agreed session day / time.
